Problem
Companies squander time, money, and effort into building globally distributed teams made up of dozens to hundreds of engineers and designers to complete operational level tasks quickly and inexpensively.
But with current economic conditions, the emergence of GenAI, and the impacts of Covid, teams are shrinking and need to work smart, not hard in order to meet the needs of businesses.

Brainstorm Session
We started figuring out how to explain the value to both users and buyers.
We realized that agencies were the perfect balance between what people needed and what they could afford.
“It begins and ends with telling a story. I’ve definitely noticed a difference in the user experience of products between the teams that build story maps driven by user research and those that don’t.
The quality isn’t as high and it often takes twice as long.”

User Story Map
-
Getting team members using the application needed to be seamless; this includes creating an account, inviting team members, selecting a billing tier, and configuring product parameters.
-
Everything centers around a story map. It’s the organism that product, engineering, and design orchestrate around and constantly update as the team learns along it’s journey.
-
It was vital to include sections here that addressed aspects necessary for the 21st century including Ethics, Product Vision, Objectives and Key Results, Growth, and Pricing.
-
On the next rung of the ladder were the areas typically facilitated by scrum masters liek Restripticive, Adoption, Acquisitions, Partnerships, prioritization, and release plans.
-
The third layer revolved around team execution. This includes a Calendar, Huddles, Performance, Sprints, and Tasks
-
Keeping the user top of mind is difficult when the repository of information is separate from the previous sections. Aligning with Atomic UX research it made sense to include Personas, Journeys, Insights, and Interview Transcripts.
